For an overview of the incredibly diverse range of local artistic talent and a historical insight into Geraldton's former gaol, be sure to stop in at the Old Geraldton Gaol Craft Centre. The gaol was built in 1858 and closed in 1986. It today houses locally made art and craft work ranging from gemstones, lead lighting and crystals to crochet and woodwork. The centre is located at 84 Chapman Road, near the Bill Sewell Complex.
