Bird Watching Geraldton » What to Do » Bird Watching
Both the Chapman and Greenough Rivers are bird havens, especially in the early morning and evening. You'll be sure to spot an osprey soaring above the rivers where they meet the sea or an egret or heron, elegantly poised and reflected on the river surface. Tiny bush birds are more evident inland while a good range of seabirds inhabits the rivers closer to the coast. The Abrolhos Islands also offer amazing bird watching opportunities. |
